6.5x55 for all deer

I have a 6.5CM, and 6.5x55 and .30-06 barrels on my other rifle. I use 140gr ballistic tips in the CM, 140 SP in the Swede. Perfectly happy with both 6.5's, and love the fact that I keep the sight picture BUT the .30-06 with 165gr ballistic tips is a touch more authorative allows a margin for error and is deeply satisfying!

I shot my biggest Stag with 150kg with a 140gr Accubond out from a 7mm08 with 810m/s on 70m.
Also a 110kg Stag with a 140gr Partition out from a 7x57 with 800m/s on 250m.
This should be also possible with a .264 140gr Accubond or Partition.

I would choose for hunting with the 6,5x55/6.5 Creedmoor 2 different bullets:
140gr Partition or Accubond until 250m and over 250m the Hornady 143gr ELD-X

Maybe a 129gr ABLR, 143gr Bondstrike or 150gr Accubond Longrange is an universal Gamechanger, but in this Case i have no experience yet.

I've dropped decently large hogs in their tracks at 70-300 yards with a 6.5x55 with three different bullets (SST, PPU SP, Powershok, all 139/140 grain). The very high sectional density is a quality of its own. I haven't used any 155/156 grain but I would be tempted for short range woodland use on the larger deer/boar.
