    I found the hog casings too chewy so went over to collagen and happy with them, Haven't tried the sheep casings and probably won't bother because the collagen work for me.

    Exactly this, It has happened to me in the past and a bit of prising twisting and pulling has always managed to get them out, I have never had to drill and tap yet but looks like a good idea if all else fails

    Cheers for that, I grow my own and love Red Duke of York spuds but ran out in January, I'm up just North of Alnwick this weekend to go to the caravan and to look at a new farm for vermin control so I'll go a little further up the road and buy a sack of spuds whilst up there.

    Surely the whole Idea of going stalking with a gun over your shoulder Is to get a deer, Otherwise as I said above you can still go out with a pair of bins and watch and learn about deer and other wildlife without pulling the trigger.

    I use my binoculars on a daily basis whilst out walking and very often come across deer on hedgerows etc and manage to stalk up to them to watch them, You don't need to be out with a gun over your shoulder to learn how to stalk and watch their habits and this public land is accessible to...
