  1. 6mm flobert anyone?

These things were commonly used in pubs in the days before darts came along. They were usually fired in single shot smoothbore pistols pretty much like bell target shooting. A friend of mine thought it would be a good idea to try one in his smoothbore 22rf in his living room. The little bb went...

  3. Moderators

The op is quoting the Scottish law where air guns are required to be held on licence thus ALL moderators are treated the same way. The rest of uk should just see them all become unregulated.
  4. .223 vs 5.56

    Mine states 223/5.56 but only 308. I probably forgot to put 7.62 on my 1 4 1.
  5. Ammunition corrosion

I have been clearing out a friend's shooting stuff as she's packing in shooting due to declining health, ie getting old! Her and her late husband were heavily into shooting in the past with 22, 270, 303, 223, 38 and blackpowder. I've inherited a couple of her guns and found a large stash of...

  12. Wamadet Press instructions.

My old mate John Ellis owned Wamadet. He had a lovely engineering workshop in Barnstaple where I spent many a happy hour. The fancy lube in blue paper wraps was nothing more than heavy machine grease. He rigged up a hydraulic press to force it out of a five gallon drum and through a sizing die...

  14. ID these 22lr?

When we were firing the LMGs back in the day, it was not fun being in the butts. The bullets would hit the sand and the tracer element had a habit of squirting back at the poor buggers trying to avoid it. This was in the terrible days before 'elf n safety when we thought these things were fun...
