Not sure what your budget is, but the Barbour traditional tattersall shirts are pretty good. They’re not slim fit, have a button down collar and stand up to a bit of abuse.
I wore one on stand at the GYS last year in 25-30c heat and didn’t find it too sweaty because they’re not overly thick and...
Parents live on a (non working) farm on the Lancs/N Yorks border and we rarely see rabbits these days.
There seems to be a massive increase in the number of hare around the past few years and they’ve had stoats at their back door a couple of times.
Around where I am the rabbit population...
Sacrilege! Biltong is air dried, not like that American nonsense! 😂
@Bullbarrel most butcheries in ZA chip it and put it into almost like an old pick and mix bag for you. Seems to stop it sweating because it can “breathe” through the paper. Benefit is you can get wetter stuff and it’ll dry out...
I admittedly haven’t made biltong for many years, but have a proper biltong box that I got from ZA when I was over seeing family. Having the proper kit does help I’ve found.
I like mine dry, that seems to keep in whole pieces for anything up to a few months. I just slice it when I want some...
@Bo Diddley …….life innit……at least that’s what I tell myself 😂
It’s all about small victories and still enjoying the things you can, take it as it comes and laugh about it. That’s my approach.
Wishing you the best.
Don’t be hasty. I’ve found that shooting is one of the things that has kept me going through my health issues over the past few years. It’s the only thing that I found that truly let me forget all the nonsense I was dealing with and be completely focused on something else...
I brought a Leupold VX5HD through Denver, Co with absolutely no issues in November last year.
Stupidly I forgot about a bottle of water in my bag so had to go through the whole search etc. the only question about the scope I got was “cheaper in the US huh?!” and was let on my way. They didn’t...
I settled on the KRG Echo in the end as a reasonably priced ergo stock. It uses the factory Tikka mags, which aren’t the best, but at least I know 100% that it will function and there’s no guessing about AICS mag size compatibility Bravo magwell.
The action is away getting screw cut and...
Are you talking factory magazines or AICS?
The issue that I’m having is KRG don’t supply any dimensions.
I have surmised (possibly incorrectly) that the largest AICS magazines that their stocks/chassis will only fit the short action AICS magazines which are around 3”. The minimum LA AICS...
KRG specifically state on their website it’s compatible with T3/T3X/CTR short action only. I believe it’s to do with the magazines rather than the action itself.
£970 would be an expensive mistake, hence the question.
What would you recommend rather than a chassis? I liked the idea of a folder for stowage more than anything!
I was lucky enough to come upon this rifle and it wasn’t a planned acquisition, so I haven’t done much research in all honesty.
If there is a better way to kit it out I’m all ears...
This is the problem, I can’t get a definitive answer.
The KRG stuff seems like what I’m after, however March Scopes the UK supplier state they’ll fit all T3/T3x actions, but the actual KRG website says they won’t.
The only KRG that specifies the LA is the echo, which uses the Tikka factory mags.
I’ve been lucky enough to come into possession (legally 😅) of a .300 win mag Tikka T3x “hunter”.
I’m putting together a hill stalking / longer range rifle and intend to use an after market stock / chassis system.
Problem is, I’m not a massive fan of the MDT stuff as the grip angle is just a...
