177 are harsher to shoot than .22. They can be made nicer with just a light stripdown polish and pistin/spring liner to take away the twang if the individual rifle has it

Wont go wrong with a. 22 hw99s in fact the best lightweight springer you'll find. Can be found around 200 2nd hand

Optics warehouse have a base optics one rated to 8kg with a good clamp. Ive just got one for chucking about and I'm impressed with it. It takes a 700mm barrelled vulcan 3 with pard ds on top no problem
