I could never go back to standard shooting sticks. Quad sticks are on another level, accuracy at distance improves by a country mile.

I use cooking bacon from Lidl. 1kg for £1.45 and you can usually get smoked bacon which adds to the flavour. These are just end cuts from bacon joints and you can choose from pretty lean packets to fatty. packets.

For me it's quicker to say what I do shoot. Rats, (every one I can) magpies,(every one I can) most corvids. (not protected species), Adult rabbits ( just enough for the pot), wood pigeon ( up to a dozen at a time for the pot), Grey squirrels (every one I can) And finally about 3 roe a year...

I use an ultrasonic cleaner on my brass. Citric acid, washing up liquid does a good job, rinsed and dried and ready to go. Also does a good job done on my moderators

Never had a problem with RWS subs or Norma subs. Very consistent ammo, I think they are made by the same manufacturer.

Up to 5 reloads so far with PPU's with 19.8 gr and 40 Sierra bk's. No problems yet with fls, brass still looks good for a few more.

I might just go down that route once the lockdown is over. I am wanting to try a few loads first at 100yds zero to find the best load for the rifle. If your zeroed at 149 yards what is your first zero distance.

Being there are only 30 cases in question I might just err on the side of caution and keep them aside. The mention of faults makes me a bit wary ( probably due to being a newb to reloading) 😳 Thank you all for your input, as always, plenty learning points.
