I don't need to walk the road to stalk. It's high hedges and gates anyway.
But I do need to cross the road if I want to go from one part to another. The parking also isn't where I can gain access via a gate.

Right sorry it was the 'deer initiative '. Under condition 10 of cl55, you're required to follow deer initiative best practice or you're committing an offence.

The conditions of the cl55 license require you to follow 'best practice ' of I think BDS bought shooting or whoever. This best practice stipulates you need another person as a spotter and dogs available for recovery.

223 I would go the 5 to 20 as well. I don't think the fov is especially note worthy one way or the other for 5x. I don't think I have any day scope with a less than 4x base mag.
You've also got the PiP so you can stay at 5x and have a more zoomed image on the screen as well.

The rules for night shooting would be like that if it hadn't been effectively grandfathered in. The cl55 rules are what some public sector types would come up with if no had thought of might shooting before.
Cost and weight I would get a Zulus.
The problem with most of these scopes is you have to fart about with buying an IR torch then adding a lot more weight to the top of your gun. I find torches quite annoying tbh.
I have a v1 zulus. It's awesome at night.
