Pine Marten
I'd wanted to start deerstalking for years and finally took the plunge in 2012. I passed my DSC1 in February 2012, joined the British Sporting Rifle Club, received my FAC later that year and bought a Steyr-Mannlicher stutzen in 7mm-08. I shot my first fallow pricket in February 2013, followed by a couple of roe does and a muntjac. Since then I've added more muntjac, CWD and at long last two roebucks to the tally. I've shot lots of target rifle and have been wildfowling and roughshooting for several years now. I realised my long-held ambition to acquire a drilling recently and have written about using it to stalk my first roebuck in Shooting Times.
