    Just returned home from a brilliant days stalking in the beautiful North Yorkshire. The guide Ian was spot on and there was plenty of deer about . I’m looking forward to my next outing .

    Welcome . I would say 243 as it’s a good all rounder , use lighter bullets for foxing and heavier bullets for deer . Picking the right calibre can be a mind field with so many to choose from.

    How does everyone rate the ds ? I seam to have trouble in low light conditions and was wondering if anyone else is having this problem or it’s just my eyes

    Just typical sika . Out feeding until it gets light enough see , then they wander in . Same on a night . As soon as it’s dark they are everywhere.
