    Here's the chart for IDing manufacture date. My date code was on the bottom of the barrel see second picture. I can only assume all are. Mine was YB5, YB for 1973 and 5 for the inspector.

    My replacement shroud will be here Monday, so I'm cleaning the bolt up and oiling it so it'll be ready to go and I have a question on reassembly. There is a groove at the end of the bolt body, and a wing, per se, on the firing pin. Do I put the wing in the groove then rotate the cocking piece...

    Sad thing is the last time the subject Parker-Hale drew blood was in 1976. It was prepped for a hunt in the early 1990's that ended up not happening.
