Newbie From Florida

New guy from Panama City Florida, joined to learn more about a rifle I have, and see there are some PH Gurus on here.

I'm retired Air Force, did almost 23 years before medical issues forced me into retirement.

I'm a Military Surplus weapons collector at heart, but have a mix of milsurps and commercial weapons totalling 64 guns and 1 parts kit as of now.

Your father and I were at Lackland the same year, I reported Jan 8, 1962.

I had no skills when I graduated from high school in 61, couldn’t find a good job, so I enlisted. The air force taught me electronics and the early computers, when I got out I had no problem getting a good job. The best 4 years I ever spent, I will always be grateful for what they gave me.

My School (Essex) UK had 2 Colchester Student Lathes, A forge, motor engineering section (stripping engines carbs points distributor's)
Pottery wheels x 2 kilns and a dark room, language room (French/German)
This was just a Secondary Modern School (run by the State) but set many of us to go from leaving into a good job as they recognized what was needed. :british:

Growing up in a household with strict military discipline, by the time I graduated high school, I was already trained to be a GI. In fact a few days after arriving at Basic, I figured it out, it was just like home, just a different dad now, but the same rules.
