  1. Is deer stalking affordable for the Average Joe?

I think stalking is affordable for most as you can pay as little or as much as you want for just about all the things you need. The biggest problem for most is getting permission on suitable land that hasn't already been taken on by someone else.
  2. Gamefair Camping

I have helped to run the fishing demonstration area in the past and didn't have any major problems with camping on either time. Getting a shower first thing in the morning took some planning as all the exhibitors and organisers were trying to get a shower at roughly the same time. One one...
  3. Introduction Post

Hi Ste, welcome to the site. I'm just down the road from you in Clitheroe so probably have some mutual friends. Dave
  4. 270 Winchester powder recommendations

I started reloading just over a year ago on my .270 and .243. I have found N160 to work well with 120gr Sako powerhead blades. I'm getting getting just under 3050 fps which is approx. 100 fps second faster than the factory rounds in my 20" barrel rifle. Load data on Sako powerhead blades in .270...
  5. Citizen Vigilante.

Watched it. Very disappointing, terrible, worse than terrible. Social media hype and that's about it. I've seen better acting and plots in low budget porn films. Save your time for something better.
  6. Truck free stalking?

I used a Skoda Octavia scout for stalking, fishing, shooting and ferrying the dogs about for a number of years and it coped well on all but the roughest of tracks where ground clearance became an issue. Last year I bought my first pick up and I wish I had done it years ago. I can keep the cab...
  7. Carcass Disposal

Whatever doesn't get eaten by the dogs goes in the bin which is usually just the skull and skin.
  8. Finally bade goodbye🫣

I'm on my second EV through salary sacrifice, not met many people who regret making the switch and those that have probably didn't do their homework or got something with a battery too small for their needs like getting a small city car to tow a 6 berth caravan. First one was a 540bhp flying...

  10. Athlon chronograph

Had mine about 8 months now. Easy to use even for complete novices and numpties. Well made and comes in a nice carry case with a sturdy metal tripod. It's the first chrono I've had so don't have anything to compare it to.

  12. MODERATOR RECOMMENDATION - T3X .270

I have a Freyer and Devik FW269 on mine. Doesn't weigh much, fairly quiet and easy to clean. Proportions look right for the rifle too.
  13. Dirty Business

I have just started watching it. It's shocking what went on and is still going on but as a fisherman of over 40 years it isn't a surprise. The laws around sewage discharges are a joke, the EA is toothless waste of space, DEFRA is just a bigger version covering more areas, MP's on the whole...
  14. Does anyone actually have Kalix Teknik CR1 Adjustable Cheek piece Tikka T3 / T3X in stock

Been looking for a Kalix Teknik CR1 Adjustable Cheek piece Tikka T3 / T3X for a while now. Nowhere seems to have them in stock. I have asked to be notified when any come in stock at various shops but still no luck. Are there any similar alternatives that don't sacrifice quality or ease of fitting?
