7mm non toxic

I have accurate and tested loads for the 130gr Fox Classic Hunter and the 130gr Yew Tree TLR in 7x64. Both doing just a shade over 3K fps and both have dropped everything I have fired them at. The TLR in particular sits them down with some authority.

Brilliant bullets the yew tree.

Bit messy when you hit a shoulder but what isnt

Have a part box of 7mm 139 Barnes LRX along with 1 part box 2 full box of the 145 LRX if anyone wants to try.

Personally moved to 139 Hornady CX

Why did you change, i am trying to short circuit all the try this that and the other
and how did you find the difference between the two LRX?

What chambering is the load for? If 7-08 or 7x57 I would say go 120gr and if a larger case then 139/140 class. To get the best out of non-toxic it helps to keep the velocity up. In 7mm I only have experience of 120gr TTSX in 7-08 and they are really good at just over 3,000 fps
280ai so on a 130 -140g should be about 3200

Hi User00040,
How have you got on with the 139 Hornady CX?
I gave Barnes 139 LRX a 1st try 2 weeks back. Ladder test from 2600fps to 3169fps in a fairly long barrel custom chambered 284 Win.
I was going to use this now to try and hone a perfect load.
I was just wondering why you switched to the Hornady? Have you found them easier to obtain?
I know it's 2 & half years ago, but do you still have the Barnes 139 LRXs?

I have been using the 130gn Fox in the factory load out of my 7x57 and the 145gn (I think, may be 150) out of my 7x65R. Both work very well on Roe, Red and a few sika.

In the 7x65R I have been using the 140gn RWS HIT ammo. Absolutely fine on Roe. I have had a few a Red take a bit longer than I would like when I have put the bullet just through both lungs. Purely down to operator error. Ideally in my experience you want to go up the front side of the front leg on Red.

Hi i am interested in Non toxic around 140g out of 7mm, particular the Nosler or Barnes LRX, mostly function not accuracy. Generally going fast (3000± f/p/s)
has any body experience of these or any of these,
Barnes ttsx personally I use 150gn doing 2550fps in my 7x57

Shot copper for a long time, never driven a copper bullet 3000fps
