Hi All,

I have a defender 110 CSW and frankly I'm bored of taking it on the motorway.

I am after a comfortable, frugal (cheap to purchase and run), good to drive, stalking vehicle that can do some light off road work.

I thinking....
Subaru outback or forester
Dacia Duster
Volvo xc70
Porche cayenne
Mitsubishi outlander
Or similar

I'll keep the Defender for hard work but if you've got something you want to part with that would be suitable alternative please let me know.

Reluctant sale of my much abused but well-loved FL2 (164,430 miles) with later facelift enhancements and off-roading additions. The MOT has just been done and is valid to 27 Dec 24. It has a full service history and the timing belt and waterpump were changed in 2021 at 122,887 miles. A reconditioned Bell Engineering transfer box was fitted in 2019, a new propshaft in 2020 and the fuel tank was also removed in that year to replace the fuel senders. This is the HSE variant with leather heated seats (memory on driver's side) , heated front screen, sunroof...

I have had three Freelander 2 and I would say they make a great stalking vehicle. Cheap to run and insure and with the right tyres they will go most places.
 
Rav4 works for me as well. It's older, like 15yo, but less fancy modern sh1t to go wrong with it than more up to date ones. It rusts for fun on the underside but nothing structural to worry about. If I can find one of the last good ones before the hybrids started I may well update it.

I have a 06 reg rav4, does me, you aint gonna cry over a few dents n dings, i have had brand new vehicles as well, my motto is ‘ fancy cars, fancy prices n parts’
