Stalking in Pennsylvania

Good day all,
I've been stalking for maybe 8 or so years in various areas in Pennsylvania - depending on where a nice deer starts getting my attention. My primary rifle cartridges are the 7mm08, 30-06 and 350 Legend (just last year). PA has a rep for often 200yd and less shooting opportunities, so the lighter/shorter 350 cal rifle seems to be easier to manage as I get up in age (but not old). Cheers-

Welcome to the site - whereabouts in PA do you tend to hunt? I’ve spent time near Philly and traveled down towards Hamburg.

About 50 miles east of Pittsburgh (EoP) which is within 3 miles of the house, and Somerset which is about 40 miles away (leased land under the Dept of Wildlife). It can be challenging getting away so I utilize the home area more and am in tune with what deer are there.

I moved from England to PA 2.5 years ago. And I’m loving the outdoors here. Biggest benefit is I can carry handguns and not hard to buy guns. I took 10 guns from England and now bought another 15 since I moved here. Still rookie numbers according to American standard lol.
