Good Intel...

This new to me farm is taking some learning but the Farmer is keen to reduce numbers as he has had a lot of deer in his rape fields in the past with them in the crop at the critical time of the dry pods full of seed which is just knocked out as they move through it, all farmers want it in the shed not on the ground
I text about coming over with a "yes" no problem also Tom saw them this lunch time in the wheat fields on the left! Well Tom was spot on as some were grazing others bedded down! Tricky 500 yard yomp over 2 deep ditches and a straight line walk using the thick part of the hedge as cover, one had sensed something was there but the wind was good so I just waited until he settled down, they looked very relaxed with one laying back down, same group as the short video from the other week but this time they were in a place I could get at them.
I moved to a small clear window waiting for one to come clear which took a while, slightly quartering away but a solid thud with the others taking off and this buck stumbling with a smashed heart.
One more ditch to cross with a decent Buck not moving around 150 yds, when I first took on this farm he did say " if you get stuck just call" so I cashed in that chip and rang him, "I heard the shot well done" meet you at your truck! Quick bleed and back the 500 yds to make a plan which was to man handle it in his land rover after a quick picture he will enjoy sending to his farmer friends lol
Back to my truck he enjoyed winching up the Buck saying "much easier than getting it in the landy, also stayed to watch most of the gralloch....
A hot 58+kg which will be 56/5 on Monday.

cant see any in your write up 2 tt's included lol
Ah, lol, the intel was that the fallow here have just to come out onto pasture after weeks and weeks of holding in the neighbouring woods. I walked up, crept round the bushes, shot one doe and the remaining 100 instantly buggered off to the safety far boundary of that field. (42kg, fat & and I was delighted to find a female foetus. Lol.)

Edit: I waited for about 20 minutes for a couple of prickets to move out of the way, before taking a doe. 💥Agenda✅️!
