wouldn’t be too worried by that photo. Any photos of the nodes? Always best not to put it in the food chain if any doubt. Was 70 years a typo? Fair play to you if you are still lugging fallow around at your young age

Some good info there thanks. I've yet to have the chance to shoot fallow but this post got me thinking of the roe doe I had on Saturday. Just thinking back the sack looked mostly fluid but I never inspected it properly as seeing the first well formed fetous put me off it and prefer to stop shooting does by now but behind on numbers this season. Everything else looked fine though so surely safe to eat.
Actually thinking it's been 69 years but knowing what that number could set off on here decided on 70.
