Blaser R8 QD Studd

I’m thinking of fitting a QD stud to my Blaser R8 HunTec so I can use a standard Harris bipod.

Has anyone done this before? Any downsides or negatives to doing it?

I just took off the barrel of on mine. there is one exact slot in the stock where ccn be fit a second swivel stud which come out perpendiculary at the barrel. The slot is funnel shaped as to drive correctly a drill point inside out direction. started first hole with a 2mm point and enlarged with a 5mm point. You need to cut the stud and eventually mile or sand the inner bolt at the correct height as it don't interfere with the barrel. then tight it well and glue in place just for exta safness and you are done.
