RIP CHUCK NORRIS.

Chuck Norris doesn’t read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants.

Chuck Norris does not own a stove, oven or microwave, because revenge is a dish best served cold.

Chuck Norris does not sleep. He waits.

Chuck Norris recently had the idea to sell his pee as a canned beverage. It’s now called Red Bull.

Who was he, and what did he do?
He appears to have quite a following on here, so I'm guessing hunting/firearms related?
I seem to have missed something 🤔
Originally came to be known as a highly accomplished martial arts practitioner after starring in ‘Way of the Dragon’ with Bruce Lee.

From there he had an illustrious career in action films. He also spawned countless memes on the Internet.

He was a staple of Saturday night movies in the US, which you tended to watch accompanied by beer and pizza.

He was a martial arts practioner, appeared in an early Bruce Lee film and, much later as "Walker, Texas Ranger". Think of a Steve Seagal type character before Steven Seagal and without the accusations of impropriety. Later there were all sorts of Chuck Norris jokes (I don't quite know why) such as that while Superman is confronted with then he jumps tall buildings whereas when Chuck Norris is confronted by tall buildings they get out of the way.

I know you don’t have a TV Tim, but he has been an iconic actor since the 70’s.
Well I've seen his name mentioned on here quite a few times, but never knew the context and was never sufficiently interested to research it.
I hadn't come across his name anywhere else except on here.

Thank you👍
That helps (a bit).
I'll need to look up who were/are the other two characters you mention 😳
That should give me some context.

This is not a dig Tim so please don’t be offended but I genuinely love the fact that there are people out there joyfully disconnected from popular culture trash.

Total digression but during the first Covid lockdown (in fact about 2 weeks into) I was in a garage in rural Herefordshire when an old boy walked in to buy his monthly shop. The shop assistant asked him how he was coping with the covid lockdown, and his response was “what’s Covid and what’s a lockdown?”.

Well I had just assumed that Chuck Norris was some kind of American gun nut YouTuber, given that his name often cropped up on here. Never bothered to investigate further.

For me, the Covid lockdown will always be remembered as one of the very happy periods in my life.

Although he did become an actor later in his life, he was a proper badass rather than just someone playing the role. He held black belts in several disciplines, won a few martial arts titles and ran martial arts schools which trained some pretty famous people. All this and acting in the roles of a tough guy he became a household name.

Rumour has it that Chuck Norris also won a game of Connect 4…. In 3 moves.
RIP the legend.
