I recieved a phone call Sunday morning telling me a long time shooting partner had pssed away 75yrs old long time wildfowler on Southport and a member of the club im in since he was 16 not a stalker but love a roe liver and handy with a lamp RIP Phil

I am afraid it happens to all of us, and as we get older it seems more of our friends and family shuffle of to the big hunting ground in the sky. It hurts but in time you will remember with fondness and the fun times and adventures you had together.

It is very tempting to dwell on the - if only we had done this or that - you cannot change the past. But just make sure that in future you jump at those chances.

Always sad and hard, but! At least he made it to 75 and was still shooting! Going to a friends service tomorrow, nearly made it to 49!

yes he had a good life on the marsh or rough shooting was a T.A. member for years up to seargent level
