French newcomer

Dear All,
A brief introduction as required per forum rules
:)

I am France based, and "roebuck stalking" driven.
Doing also mountain stags and Isard ( that can be only found in the Pyrenean mountains.)
I like "old school" rifles and only hunt with them: plastic is not fantastic for me.

Calibers I use on a regular basis:

222 - Dorleac on a L46 Rihiimaki action
22-250 - Dorleac on a Remington 700 action
220 Swift - Winchester pre 64
220 Swift - Griffin and Howe
6mm Creed - Dorleac on a mauser 98 Kurz action
6,5mm Creed - Dorleac on a Dakota action
6,5x55SE - Dorleac on a Mauser Argentino 98 action
7x66 Vom Hofe - Mauser 66 pre production rifle
25-06 - David Lloyd
244H&H - David Lloyd
264 win - David Lloyd
264 win - Dorleac on a pre 64 action

Here to learn about tricks and knowledge.

Looking for period items ( not keen of new scopes with the emerging trend of turrets... )

I like the essence of that hunt: select, get close and proper kill.

Not interested in the 700m shoots....

Thanks for accepting me as a member of the group.

Welcome. I only have one rifle, a newish laminated Sauer 101 in 30-06 but it is equipped with a fairly old Kahles Helia 2.2 - 9x42 😁

Bonjour et bienvenu, I am based in Reynès in the PO. No Isard in our commune, but they're not far away! We do have mouflon though.
