It is illegal to purport to be a charity if you aren't.
Agreed it doesn't look too clever.
If it is the case, and it might not be, then I'd say it is pretty diabolical to claim you are a charity feeding homeless and filling food banks if it's all smoke and mirrors to pick up land.
