My friend has asked how much the average cost is to ceracote a chassis. He likes the FDE on my AI and wants something similar.

Depends how complex the chassis is, it could be a single piece or all sorts of complex shapes. It’s all about the prep time.

Mine was done as favour but still £250

that was CHEAP i have been quoted £400+vat to do a tikka t3x barrel and action <its stainless steel so takes more time ???

Nope, stainless don’t take any longer, but lots of masking for a barrel and action, multiple times for both the media blasting and coating

I would be looking elsewhere!

My 695 is in for barrel and action as we speak and I was quoted £250!

Had a few things done recently, around £250 for the whole rifle (barrelled action, bolt, bottom metal) but not stock.

I paid £150 for a McM A5 to be coated but it was two colours.

All done by @Techcoat

Truth be told, I wish I had never done mine. At least buying can be touched up when you scratch it, the ‘coat’ just starts to look like shjit.

I’ll be having it removed and blacked again when money allows

This was a cerakote job done for me by Mark at High Calibre Coatings. He did the camo pattern on the skins as well as the action, barrel and sound mod.
Cost me £250 couple of years ago

I would look at who has the best reputation for this work , see plenty poor jobs . Got to say my last one was done during Covid and its still good . Cannot say much for the guys bedding work and his customer service so not got any help with picking a particular party
