it seems the Alpex pro is a bit of a disappointment at night.Does the new Pard night stalker 2 fare better?Appreciate its newness probably accounts for limited reviews at present but can someone please show by video its capabilities at say 200/300 yards with a Vcsel torch. Is there another night vision I should consider suitable for foxing up to 300 yards at roughly the same price point.Night time range and clarity is more important to me than outstanding daytime performance.

Thanks but I’m on about the latest 2 version with the smooth objective bell-I have the torch for illumination.Prefer not to have the Starship Enterprise attachments.

Decent glass scope plus decent LEP

Only downside? You have to do something with the £hundreds you’ve saved…

Do you use this for foxing?

Whats the process, identify via thermal and close distance etc, rifle on sticks, torch on and eye glare/illuminates animal, shoot…?
This is how I always do it, it’s a cheap no frills way of knocking foxes over. And it gets your blood pumping as you never know how there going to react, some will run away, some will carry on like nothings happening and some will run straight at you.

Found this on YouTube.

Image quality looks very good on the Nightstalker.

Have asked the author if he has any footage of first/last light - that's where the Hik has always outshone (😉) the Pard........

If it can come close to the Hik models would be a big plus as slightly lighter than the Alpex Pro and certainly cheaper........

Interesting! What torch do you use? Scope mounted?

I seem to keep buying newly released night vision scopes whilst keeping a Drone Pro. Frankly, I'm unlikely to buy many more purely for night work whilst thrre are still functioning Drone Pro 10x units around.
