Pard Night Stalker 4K 2.0 LRF - VCSEL module upgrade

Purchased a Pard Night Stalker 4K 2.0 LRF from Blackwood, which I'm very impressed with - much better ergonomics that previous versions, excellent NV capabilities and an amazing long distance range finder, all without the 'starship enterprise' look.

Mounted in a Spuhr one piece mount but added a ring mounted diving board picatinny rail for my IR torch, at this point it starts to lose its sleek lines and puts on weight, I could have used a lighter torch mounting system but preferred the slimline IR module that we cant seem to buy in the UK from our regular dealers.

Reached out to PARD via amazon, within 1 day they had listed the module for £99, so ordered on the 14th May. It turned up today.

Installation is easy, especially if you have a good quality 1.5mm hex wrench, although 4 new screws and an allen key are included in the box - the supplied tool wasn't the best fit, so I used my Wera kit as the screws are probably quite delicate.

Will test tonight, but for now here are some pics of what you get and how the module fits.

Interesting you went 850 - I've gone 950nm but its not arrived yet (due 2-08 June also via Amazon). However, I'm going to play with a clip-on Ward torch for the few occasions I need IR at first to see how it performs. Thanks for the shots - did you have to do anything in the menu to "activate it"?

I've had to send my scope back however, so waiting out the replacement hopefully soon 🙇‍♂️

Nothing needed in the menus, it just let me switch on the IR via the regular button on the occular, nighttime mode 'on', then 3 levels of brightness.

Looks like the adjustment wheel is held on with a small screw, will check it every now and again, thanks for the heads up.
