A number of traders complained about the amount of shop lifting that was going on and there was also a load of kit that was nicked during the night! No one would surely get away with pinching a car park or would they

But such a venue would give me a headache. How can I man my stall and enjoy the Stalking Show, especially as I'm of an ilk to trawl avidly the show for any bargains going!Stalking show would be an ideal venue.
Plenty of space outside and an additional earner for the organisers.
I think once you start mixing up new and 2nd hand sales at the same venue (which is effectively what you'd get if you were to tag it on to the Stalking Show) you lose the essence of what a jumble sale / car boot sale is really all about, and you'd get all the professional car booters turning up with loads of tat to shift, rather than it being a genuine opportunity for stalkers and rural folk to move on their own surplus kit to like-minded folk.Stalking show would be an ideal venue.

Quite, it would de-value/affect the "new goods" in side with people rooting around stalls outside also the price of a pitch inside compared to one out sideI think once you start mixing up new and 2nd hand sales at the same venue (which is effectively what you'd get if you were to tag it on to the Stalking Show) you lose the essence of what a jumble sale / car boot sale is really all about, and you'd get all the professional car booters turning up with loads of tat to shift, rather than it being a genuine opportunity for stalkers and rural folk to move on their own surplus kit to like-minded folk.
I have never understood why some of the game fairs don’t organise a car boot at there events, we have one not far from us “Wold Farm” NN29 7XA on June 6th and 7th

Fair point.I think once you start mixing up new and 2nd hand sales at the same venue (which is effectively what you'd get if you were to tag it on to the Stalking Show) you lose the essence of what a jumble sale / car boot sale is really all about, and you'd get all the professional car booters turning up with loads of tat to shift, rather than it being a genuine opportunity for stalkers and rural folk to move on their own surplus kit to like-minded folk.
