Does anyone know if there open today, saturdays in general, website says they should be, google says they are.
want to go pick my new rifle up today but as its a 5 hour round trip i wanted to make sure first,
been calling all morning, just get voice mail, but cant leave a msg as voice mail box is full,
proper annoying me now, called every 10 mins since 9.30am
 
iv known busy gun shops before, but none that dont answer there phone for 3 hours, iv rang 28 times now,
and as for forward planning, i didnt get my certificate back till 5.30pm yesterday,
its not the end of the world i guess, i will just go on friday when im off work, just keen to get my new rifle :D
 
To ask a silly question, why buy a rifle 2.5 hours away?

You have got to be talking 100 miles ish at £1.50/mile fuel and wear and tear on you vehicle, surely you could have bought it locally for near on the same coin inc costs and hassle saved
 
Tikka Ace Target 6.5 creedmoor 24" cerakote, midnight bronze, only shop i could find who had one in, all other shops had none and no idea when they would, my local gun shops are both an hour away anyway, Livens is 2 hours away, i was going to get is sent RFD but one shop is poor for everything, and the other is run by ignorant Hunts, and i like to have a look around new to me, well stocked shops,
and i will probably be buying powder and primers so it seemed the thing to do 👍

Just a heads up really if anyone is struggling finding tikka or sako try Melbourne gun always the best prices was at the midland game fair years ago GMK had a huge stand the sako 85 had just arrived in the uk I handled one asked the rep if any 6.5x55 in stock a quick check they had one in stock. on the Monday i called in to see Andy I enquired regarding the 85 in 6.5x55 his responses was not yet available.
I informed him about my conversation with GMK with in a few days the rifle was in my hands.
I should add Ive no connection with Melbourne gun only always had excellent service from Andy
Always worth a phone call if a specific item is required.

A honest earner then, 2 blokes round here like that, ones a scrap man worked hard all his life, other skips and waste, one has a lambo other has a mclaren, amongst others
