Waiting Times

No, not NHS related but rather the reality of purchasing kit that's manufactured abroad via a UK supplier:

* GRS stock - 5 months and waiting.
* Hornady and Lee dies - 4.5 months and waiting.

Since an event in the past we are not seen as a big entity and therefore our trade status has been affected.
Unforeseen consequences of a protest vote I’m afraid.

Yes. The intention was/is to get it shooting and all load development out the way ahead of dropping it into a Gary Cane custom fiddleback maypole stock.

Think you’ll be waiting a while for a Bifrost inlet for an M98… do they even make them still?

If it’s just for getting the rifle shooting, why not use the original stock? - or see if you can get a Boyd’s thumb hole laminate for it?

Me? - I’m going to be adapting a T3 inlet Berserk to accept a M595 this summer… why do we make life difficult for ourselves!?

The stock has been paid for in full and order confirmed by not only 1967Spud as the retailer on this occasion but a;- the official UK Importer and b;- GRS. The issue, according to the manufacturer, is they won't Export until they have a bulk "order" from the UK Importer of a size that justifies the paperwork and their time/interest.

I only established this after persistent emailing of all concerned.

Clearly this carp customer service on a grand scale but neither GRS nor Highland Outdoors give a ....!

Update direct from the manufacturer after zero response from 1967Spud as the Retailer who took my oder. It would appear from the below that the delay (6-months and waiting) is due to the inaction of Highland Outdoors as the official UK importer and not - as I was lead to believe - GRS:

"Hello Mr. Klenchblaize

I am very sorry for the late reply!

We deliver new stock orders to our Distributors within 4-5 weeks, with no exceptions over the last 3 years.

The distributor decides when to order and what to order. We do NOT dictate how many they need to order. If they order one stock, we deliver one stock. We have been pushing distributors to order every month, not depending on set volumes, so customers can get their orders quickly. We know delivery times are important.

I know Highland had a massive restructuring with several people leaving, which affected their ordering frequency in 2026, but it has stabilized.

I have CC'd the CEO of Highland Outdoors, John B, so he is informed and can get this feedback directly.

All the best from the GRS Team!"

Needless to say I am seriously hacked off with all involved!
