Available: Roe buck stalking in March (PE15), Cambs

I went out with Andrew yesterday. He's very friendly and hyper knowledgeable (he's got permissions on a lot of land and clearly knows the deer patterns on all of it very well).

I'd never shot a deer before but he was very patient with me and happy to explain everything (no matter how noddy my questions were 😂) - from finding deer to gralloching.

I ended up shooting a pretty big 6-pointer as my first ever deer.

I intend to go back in Winter and bag a water deer.
Hi Andy,
Pleasure taking you out and very pleased to have accompanied you on the stalk for your first ever deer, which you did a great job of under a fair bit of pressure.
All the best Andrew.

Hi Andrew, I m interested will give you a call.

I went out with Andrew again on Thursday evening and had a fantastic time. We saw plenty of animals, including a few very nice roe bucks. If you’re looking for a good roe buck, Andy is definitely your guy. To make the evening even better, I managed to take my first muntjac buck. A quality outing from start to finish, and I’ll definitely be back.

Another superb trip out with Andrew on Friday, fantastic weather, and good to see plenty of deer about!

As always Andrew is top notch with his knowledge on deer, and has got me hyped up again for the peak of the rut in the coming months, which I'll be returning for!

Highly recommend you get booked in 👍

I’ve been out a couple of times over the last few weeks with Andrew and he’s an absolute gent.
He is relentless in getting you into the deer and on both occasions we achieved results, of which included taking my first roe buck! (Pictured).

The grounds are vast, with lots of Roe and CWD, as well as some muntjacs knocking around. On both occasions we spotted all three species and a fair amount of them despite the crop cover at this time of the year! There are some real nice bucks on these grounds too including one or two in particular that I have the itch to go back for.

For anyone thinking of booking whether experienced or new, you absolutely should. You’ll find yourself in great company, having a great laugh throughout your time with Andrew.

Never once did I feel any pressure on taking any shots more than I wanted to take. In fact, there were quite a few that we could have taken but chose to leave and admire for a while.

Already pencilling in my next trip.

Thanks again Andrew 👍🏻

I was out with Andrew last weekend, got to take down a real good six pointer. Andrew is really knowledgeable and has got good ground. A must for anyone wanting to take home some biltong.

Out again with Andrew last night. Another fantastic evening full of activity.

We took a perfect old cull buck fairly early on and with the pressure off, we began covering lots of ground and observing some lovely bucks along the way.

One of the highlights included a very large 6-pointer that came bounding toward us with Andrew calling him in. He spotted us, yet still clearly interested in the caller he disappeared into a dyke at the edge of the boundary. Expecting him to re-emerge a little further up, we patiently waited. Turns out he was quite the cunning buck, sneaking through the dykes and emerging behind us, less than 60 yards away! He stood there in an open field staring at us for an unknown amount of time before we finally turned around. We couldn’t believe it. I’m fairly certain he gave us the finger before finally taking off towards the trees. Amazing to see!

We ended the night with an unexpected, but ideal cull buck as the light began to drop off.

Looking forward to the next one.

Well what a trip last weekend was!
I'd booked a day on the roe with a chap who due to crops not being cut on his ground couldn't accommodate and so put me in touch with Andrew and I'm glad that he did.
We met just outside March, did the usual introductions and from the off knew it was going to be a good trip from how knowledgeable Andrew was about the land, where animals would be even down to calibers, ballistics and all things country. We had a chat about what I was after, this being a larger buck as I've shot a good few before but nothing approaching a medal.
My other half came along and Andrew was nothing short of a gentleman with her, something we've had issues with when on trips with other stalkers.
My only potential concern was his choice of vehicle - a Ford Ranger but it was very clean and tidy and didn't break down so I suppose I cant really complain.

Due to the nature of the ground - huge fields - we drove around a little to start with but in no time at all were into bucks. I'm not sure we saw any that were less than 6 pointers and really nice shaped heads - I asked Andrew about this and he's put a lot of work over the last 10 years into removing poor genetics and now the typical size and shape of the heads on his land is fantastic for anywhere never mind the Fens.
It was also obvious just how much time Andrew spends out spotting as the amount of times he said where a specific animal would be before we got there was uncanny.
A little way through the day in the distance was a wood of perhaps 3 acres and we were told a real big chap lived in there but he rarely came out.

After plenty of glassing we found what looked like a nice 6 pointer over towards the wood where the big chap lived and went for a closer look.

When we were still perhaps 500 yards off something spooked the 6 pointer and he ran into the wood. We went round the far side of it hoping that he'd come out - this he most definitely did with the big chap tearing into him. I thought the original buck looked smart from a distance until he was next to the other one.
The younger buck was chased around the field for perhaps 30 seconds until the big chap stopped and I took a neck shot which dropped him instantly. Andrew whispered that I could shoot the other if I wanted which I did with a chest shot as he was a fair bit further out however had stopped to presumably see what had happened.

Elated is an understatement, the whole trip was nothing short of fantastic.

When I cleaned the head and left it overnight to dry it weighed 530g - it will be getting sent off for measuring but has anyone any ideas what it would make?

Cannot wait to get another trip booked soon - if you're on Instagram his page is worth a look - @fenlandhunting
