Better result than any amnesty

Well done those involved!

This is the sort of thing the powers that be should be focusing on and supporting the police with, not trying to slap more stuff on section 5...

Now THAT has made a difference. Hope they are watching for who so ever steps into the vaccum.

Expect repercussions for home loaders.

Couldn't have been given the oxygen of puplic awareness and Home Office scrutiny at a less helpful time for shooters.

Just my view of course and for the avoidance of doubt I too am glad he's been nailed.

Yes I agree it's very bad news for home loaders

But potentially very much the reverse. As in just as we celebrate the down-rating of expanding projectiles what's there to stop a weak Government from a;- imposing an outright ban on home loading or b;- subjecting all bullets, primers and powders to Section 5 status and requiring purchase to be entered on a FAC? All in the interest of Public safety of course.

The man is a pond life bottom feeder. Thankfully this sort of thing isn't at all common and hopefully a lot less common now. The government should realise that home loaders are much more like nerdy guys trying to get target shooting accuracy or saving money on ammunition, not the illegal "weapons" and ammunition supplier that this criminal is.
