Hello All,
A little away from Deer Stalking but i was looking at getting some work done on my beretta silver pigeon 5, and was just wondering if anyone could give me a guide of costing for getting:
- stock refinished
- barrels blued
Thanks!
I’m based in South Oxfordshire and looking for a gunsmith to do the following work on a rifle:
1. Screwcut for moderator (doesn’t need to be proofed);
2. Fluting of rifle bolt;
3. Glass bedding the wooden stock.
Can anyone recommend a good gunsmith to do this? Any suggestions welcomed!
Thanks
I have a tikka t3 and like the matte finish on the wooden stock and was woundering if anyone uses any oils or polishes on it to keep it looking good and protected for the elements and if so any recommendations. Really don’t want a gloss finish
thanks olly
I have some free time and am thinking about trying to make my own stock, well learning the art of!
Does anyone have any good links/or names of books I can have a look at before but butchering some practice pieces of wood!!!
Thanks
Nick
