Due to la of stalking opportunities I’m ny pop laying during my 6.5cm T3x Veil wildlands into a hybrid chassis of some sort (MDT Field, XRS etc) so it can still go stalking without being to much of a lump, changing out the fixed power Swaro with something variable and using it for non competitive target shooting and try some distance if the MOD ever lift the 6.5 restriction.

I’m imagining shot strings of circa 5 rounds spaced at circa 30 seconds followed by a 5 min call down with my highly annoying barrel fan inserted…. Plausible and sensible or am I in a road to disappointment and problems?

Yes your rifle sounds excellent and should perform well for long range target shooting with that cartridge. I wouldn't even bother changing the stock. I shoot my skinny little 1950s BSA Hunter in 7x57 out to 1000yds off a knapsack with no issues. I started out with a 10x scope and now run a 1.5-6x Zeiss with no problems as NRA targets are easy to see as they are huge white board with a 3ft black disc in the middle.
