1st encounter with a beaver on the river

well i had my 1st encouter with a beaver this morning. out fishing the river earn and about 6am this big lump cruises up the bank. must havr travelled a fair distance as the nearest lodge is a few miles upstream.

managed a nice 4lb ish sea trout too!

I suggest, perhaps, that we don't all post our early morning beaver pics, or it'll bring the site into disrepute.
Reminded me of a tv show some years ago where a couple of women were going to spend some time in the wilderness. Having to forage for food they were asked if they’d be okay and one woman said ‘If we are struggling, I suppose we we can always eat beaver’. Sideways glances were exchanged before the sniggering started.
Took her a long time to live that down.

Sure never worry, if they become a problem a “management cull” under strict licensing controls could be introduced with interested parties undergoing a full day course….
