Home loading for over 40 years and never had a result as good when trying a new load. Moving the 308 over to copper, barnes tsx 130g, N140, lapua new cases Fed 210 match primer seated at the same length to the ogiv length of my 150g sierra game kings that shoot very well. Loaded 3 x 3 shots of low, med then higher.
The 1st 3 grouped 1/2", then the 45g <1/4" and doing 2515 that will do for me didnt bother with the last 3. Happy days! Should be a decent deer round 🤞

Update on the speed, just looked back at the chronograph data and they were doing average 2815 fps not 2515. Out after the weekend for live testing 🤞

Accuracy is awesome, the speed is too low in my opinion, they will lock expansion unless the deer is close.

Ideally copper needs to leave the barrel at 3000 fps or more.

Edit, just saw the 2815, better but still not quite there, you don’t mention barrel length but 130 gr in .308 should be able to do 3000+ if your barrel is 20” or more.

Started the cull on my ground Had a great field test this morning shot 3 using the TSX chest shot them all to see what effect. Had 1 at 70yd hit a rib on way in and on way out dropped on the spot, next at 180yds ran 10 yards & dropped. Small entry and exit 2-3" hole heart and lungs destroyed. 3rd spotted at a good distance at 210yds, chest shot again dropped on the spot, rib on entry, top of heart blitzed and one lung had a big hole, conected eith a bone on exit. To be honest I was a sceptic re performance with the copper vs lead but didnt notice any difference with these 3 today. May have been lucky so will see if it continues.🤞

Good result. Hitting bone in the way in always helps as the bone fragments do a lot of damage themselves.

I've been using the same bullet and powder in .308 46.5grn of powder, no idea of speed as I don't have a Chrono.
shot 10 Roe so far between 65 and 180m, most dropped on the spot, 2 went 15m even with no heart or front legs. 1 chest shot at 65m and the bullet retrieved from the back hip, still 90% retained weight with 3 of the pettles remaining. very happy with them.
