Heading to Meshoppen PA for the Northern SxS on July 26th and will return on the 30th . If my shoulder holds up I’ll shoot 550-600 targets . Mostly 10 gauge a handful of 8 gauge , four 12 gauge events and a 20 gauge event . But one or two evenings after the shotgun blasting is done the owner has a small steel range some I’m gonna take along a rifle or two for that . Taking the pretty much factory Remington 700 HB 5R in 260 REM that’s carrying an Athlon 6-24x with a Yankee Hill suppressor screwed on the barrel . Only thing done to the gun was an aftermarket Timney trigger I have set at about 12-14 ounces . I’m contemplating dragging a Mannlicher Schoenauer MC carbine in 6.5x54MS along as well . The pics are from Tuesday I loaded enough 260 at the shop so I have 100 rounds . The 6.5x54 MS is in the pic with the deceased whitetail .
