I have a standard AirArms S410 carbine and want to up the Ft/Lbs. Im thinking around 30FT/Lbs (obviously going to go on the ticket)
has anyone experience of doing this to an AA S410 .22 carbine?
Can it be done?
Is it viable?
Is 30 Ft/lbs suitable or is it over kill?
What is the recommended Psi At 30 Ft/lbs?

If you look at the FAC S410, it’s even longer than the classic, and doesn’t give that many shots per fill. Even if it is possible, I think you’d struggle to get much more than a mag of pellets through it before it wanted recharging, and you’d probably see significant changes in velocity owing to it not being regulated.

FAC air guns don’t sell for good money, so I’d suggest getting a variation for one and then picking something up second hand.

I’d have said 20-24ft/lbs is good with ‘standard’ pellets. I used to have a Daystate (early huntsman) that was around that, would throw a 22 Bisley Magnum at around 800fps, so you had the trajectory of a 177 but a noticeable increase in ‘whack’ on target.

This is an S410 HP.

Runs around 30ft lb and with a Lane regulator in it you get around 30 full power shots before it goes off-reg.

It’s at least third longer than a standard S410 and has a larger air cylinder

It’s more hassle / money than it’s worth converting a 12ft/lbs. Much better buying another rifle- preferably a bottle type gun such as Theoben rapid, Daystate red wolf, Daystate alpha wolf, fx crown

Well given upgrading S410 is not viable id probably go down the road of getting .22 lhr or centre fire probably cheaper than an air rifle and not so heavy
