.22 wmr lead-free ammo?

I've been feeding my .22 wmr with CCI 40gr ammo for rabbits, but one of the properties where I shoot has asked me to use non-lead bullets.

Does anyone know what the available non-lead ammo choices are in this calibre?

And if you have experience of any of them, how do you find it in terms of effectiveness?

Cheers

I'm sure you don't want to rock any boats by questioning the non-lead request, let alone trying to educate those making it, but was any justification offered? Did they explain why they think lead might specifically be a problem on their ground?

Are they paying you? If not, I'd be walking away and telling them to deal with their own bloody rabbits

What are you doing with the carcasses? Do they go back to the landowner or are you disposing of them yourself?

If they just want the rabbits gone with no interest/input in what happens to the meat, why are they so worried about lead?

Just trying to work out the motivation for the landowner's view.

No explicit reason given, but I think they've read somewhere about the environmental side of it, and just don't want lead bullets being fired into their land. To be honest, they're not the first to say it to me.

But as you say, I don't want to go rocking any boats so I just said I'd make enquiries re non-lead .22wmr ammo availability.

I sometimes put them in the freezer, depending on how badly damaged they are, and whether I have the time to process them.

I know hornady do a 25grain ntx round.
I have them and have used them successfully

Thanks for replies folks.

I don't really want to get into a debate about whether the land owners are right or not, just looking for advice on non-lead wmr ammo please!
