.222 reloading

.222 will swallow anything you throw at it
decent once fired brass will do the trick
if you get stuck I have a lot of norma, sako and federal .222 brass (all once fired)

I shoot 60gr flat base in my 1:14"
short fat bullets fly better in slow twist barrels

any powder will work
some better than others
N120, 130, 133, 140
RS36, RS40
RL7. RL10
H322, H335, Varget etc etc

Cheers for the help guys. I’ve just put a deposit down on a .222 today. Looking forward to going old school. Excited to get going with it and get some rounds loaded up

Cheers Ed! Would you be happy enough using 55 grain gamekings with N140? Or better picking up another powder? I’ve got both already but can easy try and get something else once everything settles down

chap whop has forgotten more about .222rem than I will ever know once told me:
"fill the case with N140, Seat the bullet. You won;t go wrong"...

The only issue I’m having with the N140 is I’m struggling to find much data for it for the .222?

Is there any difference between N130 and N133 for the .222 using 55 grain,(or possibly 50s if they don’t work)? 1 in 14 twist I think!
