.270 bullet for roe

And, takbok, here is what happens when you drop a magnet in the box. Rest assured, there’s steel in these jackets! Apology will be graciously accepted.

Nowt new, Norma uses steel plated jackets, have done for many years.

Personally use 110 ttsx and 140 partitions.

I haven’t found many roe argue with the .270 no matter what bullet but the bruising in the shoulders was quite severe with the ballistic tips.

Have a look at 130gr Sierra ProHunter. As you're looking at sub 200yd shots, a boat tail bullet isn't any advantage.
Sierra lists Re22 powder as the best option for both accuracy 7 hunting & a fast one at that!
I'd have thought the 110gr would be more than enough for roe but Sierra don't list a Re22 load, only Re15 & Re19.
Why pay more than double the price for bullets designed for much tougher game than roe deer?
If you don't have the relevant Sierra data for .270 Win, PM me with your email address & I'll send it.

If you are handloading, I'd back off the powder and try and keep the MV around 2800FPS

Spot on! My .270 spits out 130gr SP at around this speed, and it's good enough to dust a clay pigeon at a measured 283 yards using a car door as a rest. Incidentally, that's with 54grains of H4831, and CCI primers :) It's a superb load in my rifle
