Hens Teeth, good luck, i just bought loaded Nosler to use then to reload

Why not just fireform .280? As ackley would have done, or form .270 which is what I do to form .280 brass as it’s cheaper!

I do the former, use a .30 cal sizing button to neck up to .30 and then neck back down to .284 leaving a false shoulder to head space, load with 150 gr soft point and away you go. Anneal at each stage, makes perfectly good .280 brass, it’s just 20 thou short.

The fire forming load is 3/4” at 100 and I was ringing steels out to 600 quite happily with it too .

Dauntsey Guns have Remington .280 core lokt in which you could fire and eject formed cases.
