ammo and bolt can go in a suitcase so long as it's checked in and tagged. Carriers have slightly different rules but most will allow the ammo case inside checked baggage so long as it's tagged

got a great trick for driven moose practice, bbq and beers. Two trees, safe backstop, long washing line, big foam board moose cut out hung off eye hooks on the line and big reel fishing rod rig both ways round the trees back tp firing point.... you get the idea

reel one way bang! bang! now reel the other....

and repeat lol

end of this month up my way, cheap hotel in the village DG11 3DF with great breakfast and everybody is welcome. A good chance for the moosing boys to meet up talk rubbish and have a crack... who's coming?

Im in :) sounds great to meat up for a laugh before we leave ...

im up for meeting up with the moosey guys at end of the month , you can all listen to me whine about the 7 hour drive to lapland when we arrive!! lol

Right so,.... moosey moving target practice and fun shoot is on sat 31st and the game plan is to turn up at the Ecclefechan Hotel about 12 and have a quick lunch then hop over to the ground and knock hell out of the target until we're hungry then back to the hotel for a bbq and few beers. Rooms available at £35 with breakfast if you fancy a crash and while skill and excellence on the moosey practice is not guaranteed, it will be a laugh!!! Moderated toys preferred but not essential!

Just drop me a pm if you're coming, cheers

p

ps I'll have the .375 and 12g with slugs.... see who's man enough

Will be going through the checklist which was much appreciated so that just leaves a few pre-flight beers when we all meet up...

Looking forward to meeting all the guys in the bar

How many are meeting at Manchester?

only a week and a half away!!!

Any idea how cold Lapland will be at this time of year? are we talking merino and prohunter or full rusky clothing :???:

Just looked at the weather forecast and it says minimum 4deg, thats not so bad is it??

hardly speedo weather but I might not need full arctic wear :D

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/6296559

...only -4'C????? Pah! When we went last year it was about -12 to -14 most days, and -30 on the last day! Now that WAS f***ing cold!!! (and that's from a Northerner! Poole? That's just about living on the equator isn't it?? ;):D )

Hope you fellas all have a fantastic time - wish I was coming with you.....

Have a good 'un.

we are all reday for all the hunters looking forword. we are looking at about 5 in the day and down to 0 at night, at the moment. :-)

Hi Ian I am sure you and the rest of the hunteres are going to have a good flight;-)

The people that flyes to Lapland are most likely to be picked up by Thomas and I am going to pick the people up thats flying to Helsinki and we will then drive up. So we are looking forward seeing you all;-)

Really excited but OMG!!! FFS!!! FTFO!!! YMBFJ!!! Arrrhhhh!!!

Having a rifle disaster with the 375 h&h. Got it back from Brock & Norris with a couple of days to sort it out. Had the leupold bases and rings sitting and put the Illuminated Duralyt on it yesterday GREAT!!!

4 rounds into playing it's zeroed and grouping like a babe inch but then at 12 it starts throwing massively by like 8 inches.... OK the rifle's really hot but I know it's shooting cold to warm so I'll pack in and go home. At home I spent time sorting out the AI mag to make it a tighter fit and felt a tiny movement in the scope so I check it and the rear leupold ring had sheared off the bases locking screws! Recoil or what bitches!! So my choice was to put on the weaver rail back on and a 1x holographic that's tried and tested or take the .308 that is my baby with the illuminated Duralyt that is a devastating combo...

It's going to be the 308... gutted and going to cry, 150 grain is not the same joygasm as 300 grain. But hey, it's all good ... MOOOSEY
