300prc ELR, what bullets are you using?

A tad hijacky, but how are you all getting on with cleaning ? I run N570 and it's well manky (as is N555 in my smaller target orientated rifles).

Any thoughts welcomed, shooting out to 1800m

I’ve just had a 30” 1/9 tube put on mine and have had some luck with Berger 208s but they’re like hens teeth and I am running low.

Could just “default” to hornady 208-212, think the 225 or 230 a-tips might be a bit much for our elevations? I was also not very impressed with the consistency of the 208s I had before (weight or ogive)

Possibly the Sierra 220 but the BC seems a bit low for the weight

Maybe the Sierra 200s as their BC are very good

All I really care about is actually being able to get them 🤣
Hornady ELD 225gn superb bullets

I've been using the 225 eld m's like has been said above for shooting up to 1550m and have been doing quite well. Couldn't rationalise the cost personally for the Berger's or monolithic solids with ultra high for calibre bc. Consistently in the es range of 10-20 very rarely above 20, using n568 powder (300prc). i used to use n570 in my 300 win mag which was later re barreled to 300prc and I would always have wider spread in the es from shoot to shoot and the range was between 25-37 if i remember right using 208 eld m. Cases annealed each firing, full length sized without the decapper/neck expander in. neck tension set after with mandrel. CCI 250 primers
