I am after a 303, hopefully as best condition I can get, looking at no.4 mk.ii Irish, but willl consider anything either great condition or great history, or anything really p14, 4t (lol)etc etc

What do you want it for, nostalgia, investment, to shoot occasionally or to shoot hard. That dictates what you should buy. There some real shysters around who would sell you a nightmare. I own a few .303s and the best route was to ask my local, experienced RFD to find just what I wanted. Great rifles, but not something for heavy CSR / 3P use.

On the other hand for a rifle to hammer I use an Armalon barreled No4, love it and it will outlast me. If he's still going, give Peter a worn out No4 and let him refurb.

I hope soon to have a Fazakerly(?) Irish No4 Mk2 available in sparkling condition, and fired very few rounds. Story is that friend had a stroke and I have been asked to manage disposal of his kit. Rifle is currently in transit to a dealer in Oxfordshire, but, stroke affected owner/family is still trying to locate its bolt. If no joy soon then will get Peter Sarony (Armalon) to source and fit correct replacement. A purchase would be via the dealer, with me funding any admin costs. A No. 32 scope (never fitted to this rifle) might also be available. Advise me if you're seriously interested.

Hi chaps, thank you so much for the information. I had a few Enfields, and nearly gave up shooting and sold them all which are nearly impossible to replace, I sold them when I had a young family and now they are getting older and I am getting back into my Enfield's lol. I now have an immaculate No.5 and now looking for the next one for my next 303 slot. I have sent a couple pm, I am really interested in the No.4 Mk.II's. And will check out Phil Rose.

As a follow-up to those who contacted me, I finally received the bolt, and sold the rifle with the small amount of ammo with it for £990. The new owner is apparently highly delighted with his purchase.
