Does anyone have tested load data or quick load data for

.338LM Hornady A-Tip 300gr + RS80

(Happy to receive data by PM if preferred)

I’m struggling to believe this isn’t a standard RS recipe on their official load data as I would expect it to be a decent combination

Although I have ordered some ELDMs I don’t know if they will be here in time

What i recommend if there is no data is you take data from RS of as similar bullet and weight as possible

What i would then do is using that data and working from the minimum upwards and see where you get checking for signs of pressure the whole way. Primers popping, Hard Extractions, ejector stamping, case stamp flatening etc. If you are familiar with signs of pressure you should be fine. Also using a chronograph to see where you actually are is helpful.

It sucks when there is scant data and you sometimes have to just bite the bullet and create your own.


They have their own data available for their own powders on the RS website. It might be worth plugging this in and testing it out here first with similar data from their source.
