38 dispatch pistol

Who can recommend a good pistol in 38 and possibly a section 5 dealer??

I have a Colt Detective in 38 Special. It took a bit of getting used to as the grip is pretty small. Fantastically accurate but I only use mine for target practise. It is a popular calibre for humane dispatch and the stalkers I use in Austria carry them for that reason.

Just out of interest,when do you use a pistol for despatch,at RTA's or as a follow up on injured deer?? or when and why a pistol??

no disrespect , dont waste ure money buy a fold up 410 doea the job just as well .

been there had the pistol and sold it on , but if you must chrisc is your man !

I understand what your say here as a 410 dose job but its not always the best tool for the job! I have my reasons for the pistol as its not just for deer but thank you for your imput! So what pistol did you have and how did you find it?
