Wanted: 4 bore brass cases

Does anyone have a 4 bore brass case I could measure or a drawing with measurements so I can machine some

No, but this may help. Click 'EN' in the TDCC column for a PDF with dimensions. Has 4 bore rifle in there, and has two lengths of 4 bore shotgun in there but they don't look to be brass.

Anyone with brass cases for large bore guns have probably had them made to fit the chamber on their gun.
With chambers on old 4s varying greatly it's unlikely for a case made for one will fit another, internal and external case size.
I have two English eights with brass cases and both cases have different length, bore size and chamber size.
I had casts made and cases made to match.

A chap called Graham Deakin near Dumfries can make them for you

Graham made mine years ago. I think he's still making loading tools,mine are still going. He also supplied wads and cards to suit my cases.

You need to take a cast of the chamber/s push a wad into the barrel past the forcing cones and pour melted candle wax into the chamber allow to go cold then take your cleaning rod from the muzzle and push it out use a hair drier if it sticks but check with Mrs Myers she may be able to help
