Hi all, still after some 40-60 Win. brass for my (obsolete cal.) Whitney lever rifle. for display purpose only not firing.
Had no luck last time I asked but you never know. Someone might still be shooting it and have unusable cases.
Seems re loaders use a necked down .45-70.
It would be really nice to see the old girl load and cycle after 150 years.

As I recall this, your previous search was fruitless because no-one was quite sure which .40-60 your Whitney was chambered for.


I've acquired a much better reference source than Donnelly's 'Handbook of Cartridge Conversions' now.
If you can confirm which of these two candidates will definitely fit, post a detailed Want Ad in Classifieds where you should get more success.:)
