6.5 creedmoor

I'm looking for load data for 6.5 creedmoor using N555 powder and 120-123 grain range of bullets. I'll be using Large primer cases. I've read that it's sometimes difficult to get enough powder in the case at near max loads. Added to that, the difference between small and large primer cases on charge weights. I'm not new to reloading,so know all the usual caveats on working up a load. I'm just trying to find an operating window for the load,to see if it's feasible. Please,no loads for the heavier bullets.

Take a look at the viht app. Plenty of info on there for that range of bullet weight with n555 👍.
I've looked at the Viht reloading data, which is all relates to small primer cases. They're saying compressed loads at the top end. I can't find anything concrete on what I'm looking for. Cheers anyway.

A drop tube helps with the smallish case Capacity. With n555 and more or less a full case using a drop tube you should have some pretty potent loads. Obviously do your own testing

Lapua Scenar 123g wi N555 - 41.6gr
Fantastic results in my 6.5cm wi 26 barrel 7.5 twist.
Thanks for getting back to me. What velocity are you getting. Just about to start reloading today after picking up a couple of tubs of N555. 123 grain eld-m bullets so your load will be a good ball park figure. Cheers.

I’m really surprised at this velocity with N555 and a 26” barrel using 123gr bullets. I would have hoped to see more. I would expect this velocity with 140gr bullets.
me too , i get that with 140gr eld-m factory loads from my 20" gun

I'll try 41.5 grains to 43.2 with N555 and 123 grain Eld-m using Hornady brass. I've got a starting seating depth from 120 grain Eld-m Match factory ammunition, which shoots fantastically well through my bog standard Bergara B14 hunter. Hopefully I'll find a higher accuracy node at the top end. I'm hoping to get near the factory ammunition velocity of 2915 fps. Time will tell.

I loaded the 120 grain nosler bt with 45.5 grains of n555. Velocity was 2880fps. This is in a tikka t3x roughtech 24inch barrel.
Accuracy was great. Finding a consistent supply of n555 is the biggest challenge!

Is that with SR cases. If I can get 2880 fps ish, with good accuracy,I'll be happy. I could of bought four 1kg tubs yesterday, but being as I don't know if I'll get the results I want,I only bought 1. Cheers.

Is there not a faster burning powder you could try?
