Hi all has anybody got any load data for the above with nosler 120 grain and reloadswiss 60 I’ve used Gordon’s reloading tool and is saying getting to max at 56.5 grains but have just been scouring to find loads for similar weights with different manufacturers to compare but sierra are quoting 50.7 grains of reloader 17 which is quite comparable to rs60 there’s not much out info out there for the prc with our available powders

Thanks scott

Whilst I haven't tried that combination myself, my initial gut reaction is that RS60 is way too fast for 6.5PRC. I suspect you'll hit pressure long before you realise the sort of velocities you desire. But like I say I haven't tried it, so I could be totally wrong.

I'd be tempted to go RS70 (which can also be very pokey) or RS76, TBH.

Please report back on your findings? I'd be interested to hear how your proposed recipe works IRL.

Quickload ( the old original windows program ) is notoriously crap with RS powder , ask Laurie .

The new quick load pro is a lot better , more accurate results and very much inline with my own findings .
Thanks for the heads-up on the new Apex website.

I never did get around to buying QL - having to source/support a 1990s PC with a CD-ROM drive just to run it put me off.

Thankfully we now have tools which are hardware agnostic!

I have found Reload Swiss very helpful. Just email them details of what you want to do, they'll run the figures and email you back with a data sheet.
