Gents, not again please, I can't stand it all over again :-D

I don't know what that man Bell was thinking shooting Elephants and dangerous game with one, absolute madness :-D :-D

John

Bell knew what he was doing, that's what. He also shot most of his elephants close enough to hear their stomach's rumbling through the tall grass. I think his average elephant shot was under 20 yards and he seldom missed the mark he aimed at. He would shoot an elephant, jump up onto it's quiverling carcass, and shoot the next... but... he had one of his native bearers run a spear into the heart of the downed beast during this time; just in case. I wonder how many were killed by the spear thrust after being incapacitated by the bullet?

Bell also liked the Lee .303 with 200+ grain bronze bullets. Mostly for the 10 round magazine! More shooting, less reloading. You must admit, Bell had his privates screwed on tightly.~Muir.
